Privacy Policy – Educator Feedback Studio

Educator Feedback Studio is a Google Docs Workspace Add-on designed to help educators rewrite written feedback to be kinder, clearer, and more actionable for students and families.
Educator Feedback Studio accesses only the text that a user explicitly selects within an active Google Doc for the purpose of rewriting feedback. The add-on does not access other documents, files, or user data.
Selected text is temporarily processed to generate an improved version of the feedback based on the options chosen by the user (such as audience type or grade level). The rewritten feedback is returned immediately to the user within the document.
Educator Feedback Studio does not store document content, student information, or personally identifiable data. Limited non-content data (such as user interface preferences or session state) may be stored locally within the user’s Google account to support add-on functionality.
Selected text is sent securely to an external AI service solely for the purpose of generating rewritten feedback. No data is sold, shared for advertising purposes, or retained beyond the immediate request.
The add-on follows Google Workspace security and data-minimization requirements and processes only the minimum information necessary to perform its function.
Educator Feedback Studio is intended for use by educators. It does not knowingly collect or store personal information about children.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
